He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Lee and Elnora Kennedy Hammonds; his children, Mark Edward Hammonds and Carlisa Rae Hammonds; his brother Roger Hammonds; and his parents-in-law, Thomas and Betty McGinnis.

He is survived by: his wife Janet McGinnis Hammonds; his children, Daniel Hammonds (Katy), Kimberly Hamilton (Bill) and Sheila Hammonds (Don); and his siblings, Ted Hammonds, Jeffrey Hammonds, Linda Rogers and Rowena Snyder.

The family has requested that everyone who attends to please wear a mask.
