He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Meeker and Ruby Moore Meeker; and his parents-in-law, Ted and Goldie Backus. He is survived by: his wife Cynthia Backus Meeker; his sons, Benjamin Meeker (Amanda) of Wheelersburg, Andrew Meeker (Brenda) of Wheelersburg, Bradley Meeker (Mandy) of Franklin Furnace and Alec Meeker (Brooke Haas) of Sciotoville; his sister Cindy Burgess of Portsmouth; his grandchildren, Molly Meeker, Jacob Meeker, Kaden Crites (Andrea), Casey Hughes (Tommy), Ryleigh Meeker and Ryan Meeker; his great grandchildren, Jaxton Meeker and Lyla Russell; and also Kayla Altman. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Brant Funeral Service (422 Harding Ave, Portsmouth, OH 45662). A funeral service was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
The family requests memorial contributions be made in Michael's memory to the Alzheimer's Association.
