He was predeceased by: his father Fredrick Cooper; his stepson Gerald Eugene Evans Jr.; and his siblings, Leroy, Freddy, John, Melvin Cooper, Francis Wolfe and Barbara Evans.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia "Patty" Evans-Cooper; his great grandchild Keima Bennett; his stepsons, Gregory Lee and Patrick Lee Evans; his grandchildren, Rebecca Evans, Valerie Evans-Rhoden, Stephanie Evans, Matthew Evans (Keri), Katie Evans and Emily Jo Evans; his friend Lori Lines; his siblings, Buford, Danny, Kenneth, Roger, Benny Cooper and Elsie Neal; and also Keion Mardis-Cooper. He is also survived by 17 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild.
