He was predeceased by: his parents, Grady Battle and Ollie Cora Layne Battle; and his sisters, Carol Easley and Sharon Patterson. He is survived by: his children, Kathleen Nicole Battle Ceasar (Theodore) of Pickerington and Samuel Dwayne McKenzie of Columbus; his siblings, Grady L. Battle of Portsmouth, Stephen Battle (Gail) of Portsmouth, Lela Perry (Joseph) of Portsmouth and Kathleen Battle of New York, NY; and his granddaughter Atarah Ceasar.
