Jay Anthony Foster Obituary
Jay Anthony Foster, 56, of West Portsmouth passed away Tuesday July 5, 2022. He was born August 1, 1965 in Portsmouth, a son of the late John and Wilma Wedebrook Foster. He was a graduate of Portsmouth West High School and a U.S. Army Veteran. He enjoyed woodworking and rebuilding wrecked cars. Jay is survived by a son, Dusty Foster of Wheelersburg; two daughters, Stephanie Thoroughman and husband Brandon and Tammy Hatfield all of West Portsmouth; two brothers, John "Joey" Foster of West Portsmouth and Jeff Foster of Manchester; a sister, Jenny Allison of Panama City, FL; grandchildren, Jerry and Austin Holsinger and Katelyn, and a very special friend, Melissa. He was also preceded in death by his wife Bonnie Hatfield Foster. Funeral services will be 11 AM Tuesday July 12, 2022 at D.W. SWICK FUNERAL HOME in New Boston. Interment to follow at Scioto Burial Park with Military Graveside Honors by James Dickey Post 23, American Legion. Visitation will be 5 to 7 PM Monday July 11, 2022 followed by Masonic Services at 7 PM by the Rome Masonic Lodge #535. Visitation will also be one hour prior to services on Tuesday at the funeral home. Donations to help with the funeral may be made directly to the funeral home.
