She was predeceased by: her parents, Goble Yonts and Lucille Yonts (Castle); her husband David Wayne Shover Sr.; her daughter Becky Sue Remy (Shover); and her siblings, Goble Yonts Jr., Carolyn Sue Ramy, Sharon Lee Wolford and Ines Marie Yonts.
She is survived by: her sons, David Wayne Shover of Portsmouth, Derrick Ray Shover of Cincinnati, Michael Earl Shover (Veronica) of Portsmouth and Demitreus Remy of West Portsmouth; her brother John Holly Younts (Hoot) of South Carolina; her daughter-in-law Angela Collins; and her grandchildren, Niki Burchett of Wheelersburg, Marie Tacket of Wheelersburg and Chris Shover (Chet Aldridge) of Portsmouth. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
