He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer Shepherd and Jackie Toland Shepherd; his sister Marilyn Wright; his brother-in-law John Wright; and his granddaughter Bailey Rickett.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Eichenlaub Shepherd; his children, Crystal Reed (Jarrod), Rebecca Rickett (Tony), Tiffany Shepherd (Shawn Scherer) and Chad Shepherd; his grandchildren, Jarrod (Kalel Reed), Haeden (Liam Shepherd), Greysen Scherer, Lainey (Lucas Rickett) and Elias Conley; and his sister Gwen McGraw (Randy). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
