He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Leroy Mills and Jessie May Davis (Grimm); his stepsons, Jackson Holsinger Jr. and Steven Edward Holsinger; and his siblings, Bessie Jordan, Wilma Jarrells and Michael Mills.

He is survived by: his wife Roberta Mills (Stout); his stepdaughters, Daisy Holsinger and Angie Fithen; his sisters, Phyllis Mills and Jerry Chapman (Larry); and his nephew Mark Jarrells. He is also survived by many other nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
