She was predeceased by: her parents, Joe Sowards and Sadie Givens Sowards; her husband Gary Ridout; and her siblings, Joseph Sowards Jr., Rick Sowards, Phyllis Sowards and Tina Marie Smith.

She is survived by: her son Mark Ridout (Jessica); her grandchildren, Dalton Ridout, Rachael Ridout (Cody) and Ezra Ridout; and her great grandchild Zoewie Ridout. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
