He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Willis and Jewell Storey Distel Sr. Along; his grandparents, Delphia, Edward Distel, Augusta and Benny Storey; his brother David Distel; and his nephew Daniel Distel.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Jo Distel; his children, Angie Smith of Lucasville, Carl Dwayne Distel (Sherry) of South Webster, Darin Distel (Amy) of West Portsmouth, Wayne Stewart (Debby) of Lucasville, Jennifer Mills (Eric) of Bainbridge, John Stewart (Robin) of West Portsmouth, Darrin Stephens (Tina) of Chillicothe and Beverly Stephens of Cincinnati; his grandchildren, Christopher Distel (Kelsey), Cole Distel (Tiffany), Sarah McCleese (Kyle), Nathan Distel, Breanna Sadler, Gage Mills (Andrea), Logan Mills, Dana Buno, Lucinda Ayers, Michelle Hawk (Todd), Anthony Ayers, Jordee Wagner, Matthew Wagner, Katlyn Martin, Blake Brewer and Madison Brewer; and his siblings, Gary Distel (Jolene) and Carol Spencer. He is also survived by 3 aunts, and many nieces and nephews.
