He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Emerson and Josephine Kidwell (Travis); and his siblings, Goldie Lay, Paula Brown, Roberta Wilson, Carol Gay, Ken Kidwell, George Kidwell, Rosemary Hatfield and Pauline Kidwell.

He is survived by: his wife Jennifer Lynn Kidwell (Ford); his children, David Kidwell (Sherri Blatz) of Dayton, Sandy Lockwood (Tim) of Clayton, Ronald Joseph Kidwell (Rachel) of Beavercreek, Kim Harris (Chris) of Clayton, Shannon Kidwell of Vandalia, Chris Kidwell (Jamie) of West Milton and Jessica Kidwell (Mike) of Tipp City; and his grandchildren, Blake (Brianna), Melinda, Alex (Tabby), Lucinda, Kaylee (Michael), Trey, Courtney, Alyce, Maddie, Austin, Brianna (Kenny), Miranda, John, Katelyn, Bailey, Adam, Emma, Jackson and Cameron. He is also survived by 13 great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews.
