He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul C. Smith and Edna O. Smith (Pearson); his siblings, Edwin Smith of Oregon, IL, Carole Temple of Dayton, Jackie Smith of Vandalia and Susie Hornbeck of Vandalia; and his daughter Vicki Bormes of Rogers, MN..
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Jean; his children, Allen (Sherry) of Tipp City and Valeria Berry (Russ) of West Milton; and his siblings, Zola Jayne Schnelle (Lou), Terry Smith of Tipp City, Norman Smith (Butch) of Vandalia and Gary Smith of Guntersville. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and one great, great granddaughter.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Brush Creek Church of God or to Hospice of Miami County.
