He was predeceased by: his parents, Reinhold Bartell and Amy Bartell; his wife Barbara Maus Bartell; and his siblings, Harry Bartell, Elsie Cone and Leona Adermann.
He is survived by: his son Craig Bartell (Tina) of Arden; his sisters, Alice Bartell of Gwinner, ND and Janet VanBruggen of Jamestown, ND; and his grandson Logan Bartell of Arden.
