He was predeceased by: his parents, Delbert Pierce and Pauline M. Pierce (Minnich); his wife Shirley A. Pierce (Neth); his daughter Marla Kay Pierce; his grandson Timothy Best; and his brother Robert Pierce.
He is survived by: his children, Terry Pierce (Rosie) of Clinton, IN, Donald Jr. Pierce (Carol) of Houston, Patty Best (Doug) of Union City and Lisa Coy (Sam) of Bradford; his grandchildren, Toby, Philip Cherney, Brad, Chrissy Pierce, David, Erin Pierce, Christina, Shannon Able, Russell, Carol Ann Pierce, Chad Pierce and Jeromy Johnson; and his sister Betty Wintrow of Troy. He is also survived by 14 great grandchildren.
