She is survived by: her husband Scott Johnston; her children, Ben Garrett (Becky) and Casey Garrett; her grandchildren, Matthew Garrett, Lydia Garrett and Jase Rike; her parents, Jim Mehl and Joyce Mehl of Fairborn; her sister Vikki Hill (Dave) of Springfield, OH; her niece Aubrey Brugger (Chris); and her nephew Dallas Hill (Courtney) of Springfield, OH..
In lieu of flowers, one of Cindy's last request was for people to bring a child's bookbag with school supplies that will go to children in need in the Milton-Union School District. In addition, donations can be made in her name to Bulldog Bags (PO Box 93, West Milton OH. 45383), Outreach For Animals, Dayton OH (Outreachforanimals.org) or Hospice of Miami County, Ohio.
