He was predeceased by: his parents, William H. Cantrell and Gertie Wright Cantrell; his wife Amy Watkins; his son Timothy Jerome Cantrell; his siblings, Frank Cantrell, Jimmy Dyer, Jannie Bentley, Hellen Hurley and Loretta Cruze; and his son-in-law Jeffrey Young.
He is survived by: his daughters, Rebecca Jane Cantrell and Melissa Mae "Mel" Cantrell of West Mansfield; his sisters, Ina Davis of Chillicothe and Ethel Perry of Glasgow, KY; his daughter-in-law Cheryl Chaney Cantrell; and his pet Baby. He is also survived by 3 grandchildren; several great grandchildren.
