He was predeceased by: his parents, Cletus Ernest and Mary Etta Michael (Yoder); his wife Marcia Jean Wyandt; and his sister Grace Lawson. He is survived by: his daughters, Susan Lantz of Urbana, Nancy Skaggs (Barry) of Gahanna and Mary Jo Price of Lakeview; and his grandchildren, Sarah Yoder, Rachel Lantz (Michael Corona), David Marting-Lantz (Parker), Rebecca Griffin (Tyler), Jody Druckenbroad (Shawn), Jason Ober (Teri), Michael Price (Laura) and Jonathan Skaggs (Allison). He is also survived by 14 great grandchildren.
