He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse L. Maple Sr. and Carrie Maple (Freetage); his wife Linda S. Maple; and his siblings, Nathan Maple, Myrtle Hardy, Harold Maple, Jesse Lee Maple and Maxine Dotson.
He is survived by: his son Sam Maple Jr. (Angela) of Newcomerstown; his grandson Tyler Maple of West Lafayette; his brothers, William Maple (Melody) of West Lafayette and Bernard Maple (Faye) of West Lafayette; and his brother-in-law Avery Dotson. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
