He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Els and Rose Els (Moorehead). He is survived by: his children, Kathy Hardesty of Dresden, Jon F. Els (Lynn) of Warsaw and Erin Paynter (Raymond) of Dresden; his grandchildren, Kasey Shelton (Rob), Matthew Els (Elivia), Tory Hardesty (Rachel), Emily Mathew (Radin), Cameron McKee (Marissa), Amanda Grove (Christian) and Lydia Els; his stepgranddaughter Stephanie Ansel; and his sister Elizabeth Anastasio of Lexington, KY. He is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 1st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Miller Funeral Home (639 Main St, Coshocton, OH 43812). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 1st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
