With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James E. Ellis Sr. of West Lafayette, Ohio, born in Barberton, Ohio, who passed away on February 5, 2021 at the age of 72. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his mother Dorothy M. Ellis; his son Cory Alan Ellis; and his father-in-law Irwin D. Frye. He is survived by: his wife Sharon E. Ellis (Frye); his children, James Ellis Jr. (Rhonda) of Plainfield and Wendy Fluharty (Brad) of West Lafayette; his grandchildren, Austin J. Cutshall, James D. Ellis (Emily), Kenneth R. Ellis (Hannah), Haley L. Cutshall, Alexis E. Fluharty and Sharon C. Fluharty; his great grandchildren, Charity R. Ellis, Nora M. Ellis and Cruz W. Nutter; his mother-in-law Betty E. Frye; and his siblings, Joseph J. Parsons (Brenda), Ronnie L. Parsons (Rhonda) and Karen S. Walters. He is also survived by seven nephews.
Guests coming to the funeral home are required to wear their own face masks at all times.
