He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Gillian and Edith Gillian (Casto); and his siblings, Richard Gillian, Janet Oyer and May Meadows.

He is survived by: his children, Amanda Gillian, Ira Lee Gillian, Andrea Hayes (Jacob) and Clayton Rhoden; his grandchildren, Jacob and Riley; his sisters, Jane Braithwaite and Brenda Morris; and his nephew Richie Braithwaite. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
