He is survived by: his parents, Alan Sams and Peggy Sams of Spanish Fort; his wife Cindy of West Jefferson; his son Nathan (Taylor Williams) of Dublin, Ohio.; his brother-in-law Andy Shirey (Elaine); and his father-in-law Stan Shirey (Pat). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
