She was predeceased by: her husband Charles "Chick" Ross. She is survived by: her children, Scott Breedlove (Amber), Melanie Breedlove and Michelle Breedlove-Hiler; her stepdaughters, Cheryl Schantz (Don), Christine Ross, Constance Ross-King (Tina) and Catharine Terbush (Dave); her siblings, Amy Rue (Johnny), Ora "Cookie" Sharum (Andrew) and Bruce James; her grandchildren, Anthony Breedlove (Evie), Briannah Davis, Sarah Hiler, Tyler Mulford, Max Hiler and Abigail Breedlove; and her great grandchildren, Norah Seaman, Asher Breedlove and Chaley Breedlove.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations made in Carol's honor to the Madison County Humane Society.
