She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Switzer and Ella Switzer (Webster); her husband Edwin Paul Rice; and her siblings, Raymond, Clarence "Coot", Richard, Ernie, Allen Switzer, Wilma Davis, Frances "Frankie" Mofford and Mary Switzer.

She is survived by: her daughter Frances "Jane"; her son-in-law George Kronk of West Jefferson; her grandchildren, Melissa "Missy" McDowell of West Jefferson, Colleena "Moe" McDowell of West Jefferson, Corinna "Cori" Cain of West Jefferson, LaShell "Shelley", Cary Lutz of Mt. Gilead, Ashley Kronk of West Jefferson, Keshia and Joel Buckland of London, Ohio; her great grandchildren, Brittani Cain of West Jefferson, Caleb Jones and Noah Kronk of Mt. Gilead; and her great great grandchildren, Hayes Smith, Sadie, Kaliope Buckland of London, Naudia Garrett, Miriam "Elizabeth" Collins of West Jefferson, Adelay and Dehlilah Hayes of West Jefferson. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
