He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, William Gerding and Myrtle Gerding; his wife Joan; his daughters, Susan Kaminsky, Mary Beth Graf (Dave), Jennifer Lown (Garrett) and Ann Barlow (John); his siblings, Bob Gerding (Linda) and Laura Gerding; and his grandchildren, Christine Bowen (Brandon), Rachel Graf, Jake Barlow (Liz), William Graf, Katherine Barlow, Jessica Lown, Steven Graf, Thomas Barlow, Sarah Lown and Paul Barlow. He was also cherished by his wife, daughters, grandchildren and friends.
