He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Carpenter and Mary Jane Carpenter (Gliatti); his parents-in-law, Daniel O'Shea Sr. and Anne O'Shea (Gadus); his granddaughter Betsy Carpenter; and his sister-in-law Marge O'Shea (Gregory).
He is survived by: his wife Patricia "Patty" Carpenter (O'Shea); his sons, Benjamin Carpenter (Jennifer), Jeremy Carpenter (Melissa) and Cory Carpenter (Jenna); his sister Corrine Sharrit (Jeff); his brother-in-law Daniel O'Shea Jr.; his grandchildren, Katie, Anna, Ivy, Cole and Finn Carpenter; his nephews, Daniel O'Shea III (Tara), Justin O'Shea (Desiree) and Spencer Sharrit (Gabrielle); and his niece Sara Creasy (Tony). He is also survived by loving extended family, and many beloved friends, coworkers.
