He is survived by: his former wife Alberta J. Pohl (Schmitmeyer); his children, Greg, Lynda Pohl of Cincinnati, Randy, Melissa Pohl of Loudon, Robert and Ashley Pohl of Greenville; his grandchildren, Connor, Alexandra, Cameron, Bradley, Taylor, Rachel and Lyric; his great grandchild Lukas; his in-laws, Arlene Pohl of Versailles, Eileen Stelzer of Coldwater, Carl, Mary Ann Pohl of Maria Stein, Dennis Pohl of Greenville, Larry, Jessie Pohl of Alpharetta, Georgia, Nancy, Jerry Meyer of Columbus, John, Rita Schmitmeyer of Coldwater, Lowell Homan of New Bremen, Ted, Connie Schmitmeyer of Versailles, Lester, Jane Schmitmeyer of Ft. Loramie and James Schmitmeyer of Borger; and his wife Bertie.

Visitation was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, December 20th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home (715 E Main St, Coldwater, OH 45828). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church (102 W Main St, Coldwater, OH 45828).
