We are sad to announce that on March 18, 2020 we had to say goodbye to Janet L. Phillips (West Chester, Ohio), born in Dover, Ohio. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles J. Luthy and Clara Beatty Luthy; her husband Robert L. "Bob" Phillips; and her siblings, Joan Miller, Bruce and Russell Luthy.

She is survived by: her children, Susan Ries of West Chester, Lynn Mellencamp (Joe) of West Chester and Jeffrey Phillips (Amy) of Murrysville, Pennsylvania; her grandchildren, Ian (John Mellencamp), Carly Jo Crotinger (Nick), Taylor and Anna (Haylee Phillips); and her great grandchild JoLyn "JoJo" Crotinger. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews; and her special friends.

Instead of flowers, the family suggests that contributions in Janet's memory be made to Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 216 N. Wooster Ave., Dover 44622.

“As an immature teenager I had the good fortune to have Mrs. Phillips and the love of her life Mr. Phillips as mentors regrettably not appreciative at the time. Despite my antics she provided positive and unwavering support. Mrs. Phillips epitomized "it takes a village to raise a child". My deepest condolences for her immediate children Jeffrey, Lynn and Susan plus extended family. I take comfort that another "angel" is looking over those she loves...
