It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ida Mae Scherer of West Chester, Ohio, born in Cincinnati, Ohio, who passed away on October 21, 2024, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John M. Lea and Beatrice Ruth Lea; her husband Robert C. Scherer; and her sister Jean Ann Taylor (Ray). She is survived by: her sons, Steven (Susan) and Mark Scherer (Andrea); her grandchildren, Molly Kinsey (Joel), Sydney, Madeleine, Samuel and Zachary; and her great grandchildren, Riley, Jacob, Kyle and Edwin. She is also survived by uncle, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, as well as many dear friends.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 30th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Faith Community United Methodist Church (8230 Cox Rd, West Chester Township, OH 45069).
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Cincinnati Nature Center or a charity of your choice.
