He is survived by: his wife Mary R. Heenan; his children, Tom Heenan, Katie Heenan and Kristen Loveland (Scott); his grandsons, Wade Loveland and Will Loveland; his siblings, Mary Ellen Tompkins and Tim Heenan (Anna); and his sister-in-law Pam Heenan.
The family has lost many loved ones to cancer, they would request memorial donations be directed to the American Cancer Society.
