She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Hurst and Thedis Hurst; and her siblings, Sandra Long, Claudia Hurst, Michael Hurst and David Hurst.

She is survived by: her husband William "Patrick" O'Brien. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
