He was predeceased by: his parents, Nordal Ellingson and Ruby Ellingson (Geiser); his wife Betty Ellingson (Piper); his daughter Kathy Ann Ellingson; his siblings, Donald Ellingson and Margie Ellingson; and his close friend Vern Haney.
He is survived by: his children, Kenneth Ellingson (Tammi), Robert Ellingson, II (Dawn), Cheryl James (Ron) and Sandra Allen (Dave); and his brother Richard Ellingson (Ginna). He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
