He was predeceased by: his parents, Gideon Ison and Gracie Ison (Combs). He is survived by: his wife Brenda Kay Ison (Bledsoe); his children, Kevin D. Ison and Amy Ison; his grandchildren, Alex, Sidney and Trevor; his siblings, Faye Keith, Ralph Ison (Grace Ann), Gideon Ison (Linda), Louise Adams and Ivol Ison (Debbie); and his brothers-in-law, Gary Bledsoe (Cindy) and Jerry Bledsoe. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 4555 Lake Forrest Dr, Suite 396, Cincinnati, OH 45242.
