He was predeceased by: his parents, Reece Overton and Pernie Overton (Davis); his son Christopher M. Overton; and his siblings, Sarah Amy Douglass, Jewell Marlow, Carl Overton and James Overton.
He is survived by: his daughters, Robin Overton Cooper (Bart) and L. Diane Overton Foust (Gary). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
