He was predeceased by: his parents, Arnold Preston Rivers and Mildred Smith Stayrook (Raymond); and his sisters, Joyce Rivers Foster, Janet Louise Rivers Donthnier and Wanda Stayrook Decarlo.
He is survived by: his sons, Curtis G. Rivers (Becky) of Germantown, Rick L. Rivers (Suzanne) of Eaton and Jeffrey S. Rivers (Tina) of West Alexandria; his grandchildren, Tiara Rivers Suchland (Jeff), Drew Rivers (Jessica), Kaelee Rivers, Samantha Rivers Sizemore (Jesse), Dylan Rivers, Jared Rivers and Jordan Rivers; and his brothers, Frank Rivers of Richmond and Donald Stayrook (Peggy) of West Alexandria. He is also survived by his wife of 61 years whom he married.
