He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert and Mary E. Garrett; and his sister Marilyn Feix. He is survived by: his daughters, Sarah Friedrich (Joe) and Katie Garrett (Nick Waltzer); his grandchildren, Danny and Hannah Friedrich; his fiancée Marilyn Brock; and his sister Cheryl Unger. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews; as well as several other family members and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the donor's choice.
