He was predeceased by: his wife Rose Flynn Hunter; his parents, Kenneth Hunter and Grace Stewart Wilson; his sisters, Dorothy Weekley and Parma Ludwig; and his stepfather Frank Wilson.
He is survived by: his daughters, Nancy Hunter Adkins of East Liverpool and Mary Lynn Hunter of East Liverpool; his brother James Wilson (Betty) of Wellsville; his grandchildren, Heather Nicole Materu and Scott Thomas Adkins; his great grandchildren, Isaac Adkins, Sydney Adkins, Constansia Materu, Magnolia Winks-Adkins and Iris Winks-Adkins; and his great great grandchild Oliver Thomas Adkins. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
