It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sara Elizabeth Cope of Wellsville, Ohio, born in Negley, Ohio, who passed away on January 6, 2022, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, LeRoy D. Huff and Mary Jane Straub Huff; her former husband Benjamin H. Evans; her husband Byron "Bud" Cope; her daughter Bonnie Downie; her son-in-law Gordon Downie; and her sisters, Laura Belle Custer, Katherine Grim and Gladys Hostetter.
She is survived by: her daughters, Mary Mead (Charles) of Salem and Cindy Lyle (Joseph) of Wellsville; and her grandchildren, Mark Downie, Matt Downie (Linette), Erin Mango (Brandon), Adam Mead, Kim Johnson, Kelsey Canonge (Mike) and Landon Lyle (Shannon). She is also survived by ten great grandchildren and son.
