Shirley Starkey Obituary
We bid farewell to Shirley Starkey of Wellston, Ohio, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on February 13, 2025 at the age of 89. Shirley touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her mother Rebecca Allen Kinsel; her husband Bill Starkey; her daughter Brenda Kay Starkey Henry; and her sister Mary Lou Partee McMillen (Ronnie). She is survived by: her son Billy; her children-in-law, Lynn Starkey of Jackson and Rick L. Henry of Wellston; and her grandchildren, Amie Channell (Kent), B. J. Starkey (Priscilla), Jamie McWhorter (Leah), Kristen Taylor (Jake), Nicholas Starkey (Lana), Patty Henry and Jason Henry. She is also survived by fourteen great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
A reception was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Jenkins Funeral Chapel (110 E 2nd St, Wellston, OH 45692).
The family has requested in lieu of flowers to mail a donation in Shirley's memory to : Wellston City Schools, admin. building, 1 East Broadway St., Wellston, Ohio 45692. Please denote that the donation is for the Wellston Golden Rockets Marching Band.
