He was predeceased by: his parents, Delbert McKnight Johnston, Sr. and Phyllis Eileen Nelson Johnston; his wife Sue; and his siblings, Delberta Johnston Cline, Donald Johnston, Ronald Johnston, Lewis Johnston, Mac Johnston, Eileen Littlejohn, Sue Patterson, Jack Johnston and Hilah May Johnston.
He is survived by: his children, Valerie Simmons of Colorado, Todd Johnston (Andie) of Michigan, Amy Sisovsky (Jerry) of Michigan, Jay Johnston (Tammy) of Michigan and Jon Johnston (Patty) of Michigan; and his siblings, Diana Johnston Formyduval (Edward) of Wellston and Delbert Johnston, Jr. (Kim) of Wellston. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
