He was predeceased by: his parents, Selby Eugene and Catherine Andrews Murphy. He is survived by: his wife Linda Maerker Murphy; his children, Leighton E. Murphy (Sarah-Beth) of Jackson and Kathryn I. Sloas (Kevin) of Raceland, Kentucky; his grandchildren, Lucas, Lane, Morgan and Madison; and his sisters, Martha Murphy of McArthur, Mary Conway of Pickerington and Margy Murphy of McArthur. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
