With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Leona Claar of Wellston, Ohio, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 25, 2024 at the age of 73. She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Richard Sheets and Clara Catherine Haddox Sheets; and her siblings, Clarence Sheets, Viola Short and Wanda Kuhn.
She is survived by: her husband Paul E. Claar; her children, Wendy Cline (Joe Cable), Brenda McCarter (Eric) and Scott Allen Kuhn; her stepchildren, Paul Claar, Jr. (Teresa), Rick Claar and Angie Claar; and her sisters, Wilma Cooper (Floyd) and Trenda Morgan. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 30th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the McWilliams Funeral Home (125 E 1st St, Wellston, OH 45692). A funeral service was held on Monday, December 30th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, December 30th 2024 at the Ridgewood Cemetery.
