She was predeceased by: her parents, William Thomas Gesling and Sue Crump Gesling; her husband Wilbur E. Ward, Jr.; and her siblings, William J. Gesling, Martha Gesling Weber and Mary Lou Payne Spangenburg.

She is survived by: her sister Sue Dyer of Winter Park, Florida; and her nieces and nephews, Cynthia Payne Esler, Bill Payne, Matt Dyer, Tom Dyer, Suzy Dyer, Jim Dyer and Marcy Dyer Aydt.
