He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph M. Fain and Pauline Knox Fain; and his brothers, William "Bill" Sowers, Dwaine Fain and Milan Fain.
He is survived by: his children, Timothy Sowers of McArthur, Heath Sowers of Tennessee and Billie Carter of Florida; his close friend Nancy Buel of Wellston; his grandchildren, Kasi Sowers (Jimmy), Katrina Mercer Bentley Sowers (Trent), Presley Sowers, Jaden Smith, Josiah Smith, Ethan Winsborough, Isaiah Winsborough, Ashley Carter and Brandon Carter; his great grandchildren, Adelynn Rose McCormick and Maycee Rae McCormick; and his sister Jean "Sis" Sandlin (Robert) of Rodney.
For those choosing to attend the services, facial coverings are required inside the building along with the practice of social distancing.
