With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Carles Prater (Wellston, Ohio), who passed away on March 4, 2023 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Melvin Prater; his sons-in-law, Rick Hensler, Bob Saunders and Scotty Ward; and his brothers, Troy James, Billy Joe and Harles.
He is survived by: his wife Martha Prater (Walker); his daughters, Carlotta Hensler, Sherry Prater Saunders and Pam Prater Ward; his grandchildren, Sarah Crotzer (Adam), Marty Saunders, Raymond Hensler, Carles Paul Metcalf (Grace Hoffman), Jessica Davis (Daniel), Bobbie Jo Saunders (Charlie Reed) and Georganna Saunders (Justin Hamlin); his brother Glendon Prater; and his stepsiblings, Larry Slone, Ada Temple, Lana Woodman, Brenda and Bruce Prater. He is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren.
