He was predeceased by: his parents, Glenn Sowers and Margaret Allender Sowers; his sister Judy Blue; his nephew Doug Ward; and his brothers-in-law, Charles Haskins and Clarence "Beanie" Ward.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Myers Sowers; his sisters, Jean Ward and Joann Haskins; his siblings-in-law, Robert Blue, Stephen and Sheri Myers; and his nieces and nephews, Valerie Dixon (Mike), Sue Warnimont (Brad), Jenny Coleman (Randy), Matthew Haskins (Melinda) and William Haskins (Molly). He is also survived by several great nieces, great nephews, cousins and friends.
