It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Becky Hendershott of Wellston, Ohio, born in Morgantown, West Virginia, who passed away on April 30, 2023, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Emerson Taft and Virginia Funk Taft; her grandmother Mary Hazel Funk; and her parents-in-law, Max and Susan Hendershott.
She is survived by: her husband Jon R. Hendershott; her children, Jeff Hendershott (Christy) of Wellston and Amy Hendershott (Ryan Goodwin) of Raleigh; her grandchildren, Katie Blatchley (Joe), Kennedy Goodwin, Derek Barnhill and Devin Barnhill; and her great grandchild Emma Blatchley. She is also survived by granddogs.
The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service from 12 to 1 p.m. Because of her love of dogs, the family request in lieu of flowers, contributions in Becky's memory be given to the Jackson County Dog Pound, c/o Jackson County Commissioners, 275 Portsmouth Street, Jackson, Ohio 45640.
