He was predeceased by: his parents, Thelma Hurst and Elton Hurst; and his siblings, Arlene Pycraft, Loretta Bartter, Janet Haynes, Jim Hurst and Ed Hurst.
He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth; his children, Doug Hurst of Wellington, Joe Hurst (Aprille) of Troy and Susan Norberg (Seth) of Marquette, MI; his grandchildren, Nathan, Nick, Nevin Hurst, Ann and Margaret Norberg; and his siblings, Russell and John Hurst.
