She was predeceased by: her mother Edna Hamilton; her husband James Shipley; her sons, Randy Hunter and Odis Hunter; her grandson Daniel Hunter; and her siblings, Danny Hamilton (Roxie), Ernest Hamilton (Pricilla) and Goldie Marie Hunter (Ealies).

In lieu of flowers donations in Ginny's memory may be directed to the Freewill Baptist Church.
