He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Powell and Eva Powell (Robinson); and his sister Betsy. He is survived by: his wife Vivian; his stepchildren, Theresa Tarry (Brad) of Lafayette, Tammy Berghaus (Mike) of Litchfield, Cheryl Kidwell (Ben) of Cincinnati, Amy Smith (Tim) of Wellington and Michael Repak (Wanita Craiglow) of Canton; his grandchildren, Daniel Lawson (Sarah), Kristina Leblanc (Zack), Austin, Shelby Berghaus, Taylor, Presley Anderson, Maddison Kidwell, Christopher Repak (Rachel), Ashley Squires (Andrew), Alli Oliver (Billy) and Stephen Elder; his great grandchildren, Sophia, Kylee, Alaina, Lorelai, Isaac, Reid, Adalae and Mila; and his brothers, Roger of Lagrange and Arthur (MaryAnn) of Elyria. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
